We have always loved the patterns found in old cross-stitch books, but noted that often the patterns themselves were more interesting than the finished cross-stitch pieces. Taking various old drawings from books (floral borders, stars etc.) and adding some shapes of our own (octopus, mermaid, Macintosh OS cursor etc.), we designed a large two meter-wide pattern to be printed onto canvas for skirts and cotton jersey for lingerie.
